The launch template that is used by an Auto Scaling group has been modified to use a new instance type and AMI. The Auto Scaling group is deployed using AWS CloudFormation. There are 8 production EC2 instances running in the Auto Scaling group. A DevOps engineer needs to modify the Auto Scaling group to use the new template version without causing any interruption to the application and must ensure that at least 4 instances are always running.
