Wi-Fi is the correct option.

Wi-Fi standards such as WPA3 and support for 802.1X and EAP based authentication provide strong encryption and certificate based device authentication which make it well suited for robust built in security for nearby wearables and gadgets. Wi-Fi also supports protected management frames and common enterprise controls that enable centralized provisioning, network segmentation, and monitoring which further strengthen security in managed environments. These built in mechanisms and widely adopted enterprise practices are why Wi-Fi typically delivers the most robust built in security for devices in a persons immediate area.

Bluetooth is designed for short range connections and it includes features such as Secure Simple Pairing and LE Secure Connections but implementations and pairing workflows can vary across devices and that variability creates potential vulnerabilities. Bluetooth does not consistently provide the mandatory enterprise grade authentication and centralized controls that modern Wi-Fi deployments offer which is why it is not the best answer here.

Z-Wave is a low power mesh protocol used mostly in home automation and it can implement security classes such as S2 but real world deployments often depend on vendor firmware and consumer device practices.
