The correct option is HEAD because it is the standard symbolic name Git uses for the tip of the currently checked out branch.

HEAD is a symbolic reference that usually points to the current branch under refs or heads and it advances as you make new commits on that branch. When you check out another branch the pointer moves to follow it. In a detached state HEAD can point directly to a specific commit which still represents the commit you are currently on.

The option MAIN is not a special symbolic name in Git. MAIN is commonly used as a default branch name but it is simply a normal branch and it does not inherently refer to the currently checked out branch.
